Comments to print on the label
Not common. Rhizomatous herb to 70 cm. Culms dark green, easily compressed, lax, pith continuous but not dense. Sheaths red to dark red or pinkish, tight. Stamens 6. With Juncus alexandri subsp. alexandri (JH 681).
