Zaysan District, Karatal, alluvium of the river Kendyrlyk, about 15-20 km NE of the village of Ul'ken-Karatal, not far from a small diary farm, near the road.
Habitat
Bushland in stabilized sand dunes; some grazing by horses and cows, otherwise very little of antropogenic impact.

Population grows in dunes along one of local roads several hundred meters from a main road from a villago to a cattle farm; berries have a salted taste. Collected 7-10 Sep 2012
