East Kazakhstan, the Zailiyskiy Alatau Range, district of Karasaiskiy Rayon, Almaty: slopes NW above the lake of Uľken Almaty (Bolshoe Almatinskoe Ozero, towards Mt. Pik Almaty, 3681 m), subalpine vegetation (little meadows, rocks, brook gravel), about 12 km above the city Almaty.
